The Role
The Service Technician works closely with sales and operations to support the installation, operation, maintenance, and removal of equipment, while delivering strong customer service. This role is ideal for someone with experience in any of the following: HVAC, Electrical, or General Maintenance/Mechanical.
The position requires participation in a rotating on-call schedule for emergency service response, including evenings and weekends. Occasional travel may be required to support larger project needs.
Key Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to:
- Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and remove temporary equipment at customer sites.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs on equipment to ensure readiness for deployment.
- Safely operate company vehicles, including transporting equipment, tools, and materials.
- Load, secure, and transport equipment, with experience in towing or hauling considered a strong asset.
- Assist with diagnosing mechanical and/or electrical issues in the field.
- Maintain accurate job documentation, service records, and reports.
- Support warehouse and yard organization, ensuring equipment is clean, functional, and ready for use.
- Continuously learn and build knowledge of company equipment and systems.
Requirements
- Ability to travel, sometimes with short notice.
- Availability for a rotating on-call schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass background checks and site-specific requirements for access to customer facilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of experience in a hands-on field such as general mechanical work, HVAC, or electrical work.
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems, electrical components, or schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Must be able to pass DOT physical.
