DAYCARE DIRECTOR
Location: Brilla Sprouts Daycare
Position Type: Full-Time
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Salary: $60,000–$75,000 per year (based on experience and qualifications)
Position Summary
Brilla Sprouts Daycare is seeking an experienced, passionate, and dedicated Daycare Director to lead the daily operations of our childcare center. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of early childhood education, and a commitment to creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children, families, and staff.
The Daycare Director will oversee all aspects of the center, including staff management, enrollment, family engagement, curriculum implementation, licensing compliance, budgeting, and overall business operations. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining a high-quality educational environment while supporting the growth and success of both children and employees.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of leadership experience in early childhood education, childcare administration, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of childcare licensing regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience hiring, supervising, and mentoring staff.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or the ability to obtain certification).
- Experience with enrollment management, budgeting, and family engagement.
- Experience working within Colorado childcare regulations is preferred.
Essential ResponsibilitiesLeadership and Administration
- Oversee the daily operations of the childcare center.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that support program excellence.
- Ensure compliance with all state licensing, health, and safety regulations.
- Maintain a positive, collaborative, and professional work environment.
- Establish and uphold high standards for program quality.
Staff Management
- Recruit, interview, hire, train, and evaluate teaching and support staff.
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and performance evaluations.
- Ensure appropriate staff-to-child ratios are maintained throughout the day.
Program Development
- Oversee curriculum implementation and classroom programming.
- Support teachers in creating engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
- Monitor classroom quality and children's developmental progress.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
Family Engagement
- Build strong relationships with families through open and consistent communication.
- Address parent concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Support enrollment efforts and family retention.
- Organize family engagement activities and community events.
Compliance and Financial Oversight
- Maintain accurate child and staff records.
- Ensure all required documentation, inspections, and licensing requirements are completed.
- Assist with budgeting, tuition management, enrollment tracking, and financial planning.
- Oversee facility maintenance, supplies, and operational needs.
