Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of deli foods including sandwiches, salads, and hot items following established recipes and safety standards
- Serve customers efficiently while providing exceptional customer service with a positive attitude
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for transactions, ensuring accuracy in cash handling and sales processing
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area, adhering to food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Assist with stocking shelves, rotating products, and managing inventory to ensure freshness and availability
- Upsell products by recommending complementary items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Support food handling procedures, including proper storage, labeling, and waste management to uphold health standards
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and food service environments, especially in quick service or fast food restaurants
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for smooth transaction processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate measurement of ingredients
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and efficiency
