Responsibilities
Employee Experience & Team Support

Support day-to-day People Operations activities while helping foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging employee experience across the organization

Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions, escalating inquiries in a timely manner

Be present in-office two days per week to provide hands-on HR and workplace support to team members, serving as an on-site go to resource for employees needs and questions.

Proactively support team members in-office, addressing day-to-day needs and identifying opportunities to improve the employee and workplace experience
-
Coordinate all-team meetings, company-wide celebrations, and internal communications (including team newsletter updates), ensuring smooth execution and clear messaging
-
Provide light IT support (e.g., basic troubleshooting, equipment coordination)

Ensure company distribution lists are up to date
Culture & Engagement

Support and execute company-wide engagement initiatives, social events, and team-building activities that reinforce company culture and values
-
Manage employee recognition programs, including Employee of the Quarter (Sea Star Award), overseeing nominations, coordination, and announcements

Assist in planning celebrations, milestones, and moments that strengthen employee connection and morale
-
Gather employee feedback related to engagement initiatives and share insights with the People team
Onboarding & Offboarding

Coordinate end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes, including scheduling, documentation, system access, and equipment logistics, in partnership with hiring managers, IT, and People Operations

Maintain, update, and continuously improve onboarding resources and materials

Gather and analyze 90-day new hire feedback to identify trends and drive continuous improvement

Support offboarding processes with professionalism and care, ensuring compliance and a positive final employee experience
HRIS, Data & Compliance

Maintain accurate, up-to-date employee data, files, and documentation
-
Track required trainings, certifications, and acknowledgements, ensuring completion and proper documentation

Execute routine audits of employee data and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance

Provide support in the interpretation and implementation of OSEA’s HR policies and guidelines
Benefits Administration

Assist with benefits administration, leave management, and benefits-related inquiries
Requirements
-
3-4 years of experience in People Operations, HR, or a related role preferred
-
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
-
A proactive, service‑oriented mindset with a passion for people and culture
-
Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
-
Comfort working with HR systems, reporting tools, and shared documentation
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (oral, written, non-verbal, intuitive, psychic et al)
-
Ability to work within the office at least 2 days per week

Must be located in Los Angeles, California

Must reside in the United States to be considered for this position

Compensation: The anticipated salary range for this position is $80,000-$100,000. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a few factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range.
