Position Summary
The Commercial Insurance Account Manager is responsible for managing a commercial book of business by delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring all client servicing needs are handled accurately, efficiently, and professionally. This position works closely with producers, carrier partners, and internal team members to provide an outstanding client experience while maintaining agency standards and procedures.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage a commercial book of business and oversee the renewal process from start to finish.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional customer service.
- Review policies, proposals, endorsements, and quotes for accuracy.
- Coordinate with producers and carrier partners to ensure timely service and successful renewals.
- Manage the onboarding process for new commercial accounts.
- Create and maintain certificates of insurance.
- Process policy transactions and accurately invoice policies within the agency management system.
- Respond promptly to client emails, phone calls, and service requests.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation in the agency management system.
- Prioritize multiple deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development.
- Follow agency policies, procedures, and best practices to deliver a consistent, high-quality client experience.
Qualifications
Required
- Active Texas General Lines Property & Casualty License
- Previous Commercial Lines insurance experience
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
Preferred
- Experience with AMS360 or similar Agency Management System
- Experience working with multiple commercial insurance carriers
