Position Summary:
We are looking for a compassionate and organized Front Office Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, creating an inviting atmosphere, managing provider schedules to ensure efficiency and patient satisfaction, and handling financial transactions with accuracy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist with any immediate needs.
- Efficiently manage provider schedules, ensuring that appointments are scheduled to maximize patient flow and satisfaction while avoiding overbooking.
- Confirm future appointments with patients and handle rescheduling as needed.
- Collect patient payments at the time of service, surgery balances, issue receipts, and post payments to patient accounts.
- Assist patients with the check-in and check-out process.
- Answer phones and respond to inquiries, providing information and assistance to patients and families.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
- Work with administrative staff to ensure that all patient records and information are accurately maintained.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to address any patient concerns or special needs.
- Perform additional administrative duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration is a plus.
- Previous experience in dermatology, plastic surgery or ophthalmology is required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using healthcare software and payment processing systems.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Compassionate and patient-focused with a commitment to ensuring a positive patient experience.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and healthcare services.
