Job Summary
This is a supervisor position that is responsible for ensuring the level of service and standards of the University of Utah Stadium and Arena Food Services are met on a consistent basis. Supporting the kitchen staff with up to date information about upcoming events. Communicating with clients about their needs at their events. Supervising service during events.
Responsibilities
Responsible to meet with staff and go through the details of the event
Menu planning and supervision of menu execution during events
Invoice clients once events have been completed
All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
Menu Planning
Knowledge of food and beverage products and cooking procedures
Health and safety rules, regulations, and laws
Extensive customer service experience is a must
Required:
o Ability to effectively to communicate with staff
o Experience managing fast paced food operations
o Ability to work with in a team environment
o Must be able to work late evenings, holidays, and weekends
o Must be able to speak and understand English
Physical Demands:
Exposed to continuous walking, standing, and twisting
Exposed to intermittent bending, squatting, kneeling and climbing stairs
Minimum Qualifications
One year customer service or related experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); demonstrated human relations and effective communications skills; and basic computer skills required.
Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.
