Pay Rate: $2,500 To $2,736 /Week
Contract: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Night Shift | Every Third Weekend | 36 Hours/Week
Experience: Obstetrics Nursing Experience Preferred
About the Role
We are seeking a Registered Nurse Obstetrics / Med Surg for a 13-week contract assignment in Atlantic, Iowa. This position provides nursing care across the Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Recovery units while supporting the Medical-Surgical unit when obstetric patient volume is low. The role requires flexibility, strong clinical skills, and a collaborative approach to patient care.
Responsibilities
Provide nursing care for Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Recovery patients.
Float to the Medical-Surgical unit as needed based on patient census.
Assess patient conditions, implement care plans, and monitor treatment progress.
Administer medications, treatments, and patient education in accordance with established standards.
Document patient care accurately and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Requirements
Active Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required.
Experience in Obstetrics, Labor & Delivery, or Postpartum nursing preferred.
Ability to float between Obstetrics and Medical-Surgical units.
Experience with EPIC EMR preferred.
