American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of CVICU experience, including POD 0 Open Heart surgery care, IABP, and Impella device management.

Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) setting in a heart hospital environment
-
Patient population includes post-operative open heart surgery patients (POD 0) and those requiring advanced mechanical circulatory support

Experience with IABP and Impella devices required

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)

13-week contract
-
Active TX RN license or compact license (no pending licenses accepted)

Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS

Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience in a US hospital setting

Hands-on experience with IABP and Impella devices required

Experience caring for POD 0 open heart surgery patients required

Strong organizational and leadership skills

Expert ability to assess patient conditions and manage arrhythmias, pathophysiology, and hemodynamics

Ability to communicate, coordinate, and delegate effectively in a high-stakes, fast-paced environment

US Social Security Number required for consideration

Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
