We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Officer to safeguard our premises, personnel, and assets here at the Huntsville Hospital. Duties
- Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to detect suspicious activity and ensure physical security of the premises
- Conduct regular patrols of the property, including buildings, parking areas, and perimeter fences, to identify potential security breaches or hazards
- Control access points using access control systems, verifying identities and authorizations for employees, visitors, and contractors
- Respond swiftly to emergencies by following established procedures for fire safety, medical incidents, or security threats
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities for future reference and investigations
- Perform background checks on new employees or vendors as part of the onboarding process to ensure compliance with security policies
- Assist in conflict de-escalation and manage difficult situations with professionalism and calmness
Requirements
- If you are not a licensed officer, We will Train you and pay for your certification
- Proven experience in security roles or law enforcement is highly desirable
- Knowledge of surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems and access control technologies
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and physical security duties
- Familiarity with emergency response procedures and fire safety protocols
- Strong communication skills for incident report writing and conflict management
- Ability to perform background checks and conduct thorough security assessments
- Demonstrated commitment to compliance with all relevant security regulations and laws
