Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have a keen understanding of the food and beverage industry. As a Server, you will be responsible for creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while ensuring efficient service and adherence to food safety standards.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, including daily specials, to enhance guest experience and encourage upselling.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation meets fine dining standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Process payments accurately, handling cash and credit transactions with attention to detail.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and adherence to sanitation standards.
- Assist in training new staff members on service protocols and restaurant procedures.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Experience with Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation techniques is an asset.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively through engaging communication.
- Familiarity with OpenTable reservations system is a plus.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and billing processes.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices within the food service industry.
- Previous experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant settings is highly desirable.
