Compensation: $1,800 – $2,500 weekly (Production-based pay) and experience
We are seeking skilled and reliable Fiber Splicers to join our team as 1099 Independent Contractors. In this role, you will be responsible for high-quality fiber installation and maintenance on active construction projects. This is a high-volume, production-based opportunity designed for experienced technicians who take pride in their craft and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Perform aerial and underground fiber splicing.
Complete FTTH, backbone, and distribution splicing.
Read and interpret fiber maps, splice schematics, and OTDR results.
Build and test splice enclosures, terminals, and splitters.
Perform light testing, troubleshooting, and restoration.
Maintain accurate splice logs and QC documentation.
Communicate with field supervisors and QC teams.
Follow all safety and utility pole protocols.
Requirements:
Equipment: Must have your own professional fiber splicing equipment and tools.
Experience: 1+ years of fiber splicing experience.
Independence: Ability to splice independently with minimal supervision.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with OTDR, power meter, and light sources.
Logistics: Valid driver’s license and ability to travel (hotel covered).
Conduct: Must maintain professional conduct on job sites.
Compensation & Terms
Type: 1099 Independent Contractor.
Pay Structure: Production-based. Earning potential ranges from $1,800 to $2,500 per week, depending on output, quality, and project complexity.
Project Scope: Active construction projects with steady volume.
