Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Cardroom Security Officer, where your vigilance and expertise will ensure a safe, secure, and compliant environment within our cardroom operations. You will be responsible for maintaining physical security, monitoring surveillance systems, and managing access control to safeguard both staff and patrons. Your proactive approach will help prevent theft, manage conflicts, and respond swiftly to emergencies, creating a positive experience for all visitors and team members. Duties
- Monitor CCTV surveillance systems continuously to detect suspicious activity or security breaches within the cardroom.
- Monitor and control access at entrances and secured areas.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure physical security measures are upheld and identify potential hazards or unauthorized individuals.
- Perform bag checks and ID checks.
- Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies by following established emergency response procedures, including first aid, CPR, AED operation, and fire safety protocols.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any security concerns, disturbances, or violations for review and record-keeping purposes.
- Manage conflict de-escalation techniques effectively while maintaining professionalism to resolve disputes peacefully and safely.
Minimum Requirements
- MUST BE 21 OR OLDER
- MUST have VALID CA GUARD CARD
- MUST have minimum 24 hours of CA Guard Card training and be able to provide certificates as proof. (40 hours is preferred)
- MUST be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields with knowledge of physical security practices.
- Strong familiarity with surveillance technology such as CCTV systems and access control systems.
- Certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and conflict management are highly desirable.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for safety or operational needs.
- Excellent communication skills for incident report writing and customer service interactions with patrons and staff.
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures including fire safety protocols and heavy lifting techniques.
