Duties
- Assist licensed electricians with electrical systems installation, wiring, and maintenance on construction sites and industrial facilities
- Support high-voltage electrical wiring projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and electrical building codes
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to aid in project execution
- Use hand tools, power tools, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose electrical issues and verify system functionality
- Perform electrical troubleshooting to identify faults in commercial and industrial electrical systems
- Help with the installation and maintenance of motor control equipment, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and low voltage systems
- Follow all electrical safety procedures and NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association) standards to maintain a safe work environment
Experience
- Previous experience or training related to industrial or commercial electrician work is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided
- Familiarity with electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting techniques, and reading electrical schematics is advantageous
- Experience working on construction sites or industrial facilities demonstrates readiness for this role
- Knowledge of electrical building codes such as NEC (National Electrical Code) is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics accurately
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage wiring, motor maintenance, or industrial motor repair is beneficial
- Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures and compliance requirements
