Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and friendly Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth flow of service within the restaurant. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage the seating chart and reservations to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest comfort.
- Assist with guest inquiries and provide information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies.
- Coordinate with the serving staff to ensure timely service and address any guest needs promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station and dining area.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, taking reservations or answering questions regarding the restaurant.
- Support guest relations by addressing concerns or feedback in a courteous manner.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for managing reservations and orders efficiently.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Host/Host or in food service is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with good phone etiquette.
- Experience in restaurants or hotels is an advantage, particularly in guest services roles.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
- Familiarity with POS systems (Aloha POS or Micros POS) is desirable but not mandatory.
