Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Current or eligible Connecticut state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
- CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred, will consider Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates
- School-based SLP experience is a plus
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation requirements
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, voice, and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to high school students’ needs
- Track student progress and adjust interventions as necessary
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress reports
- Offer consultative support to other staff to reinforce language strategies throughout the school day
- Engage students in activities that foster communication development in both academic and social contexts
