By bringing a strong foundation of HVAC or boiler experience to independently complete the responsibilities of the role, you’ll support Goldmark’s Fargo-area apartment communities by diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential HVAC systems, including boilers and forced air systems. Your expertise directly impacts resident satisfaction, building performance, and long-term property value.

What You’ll Do
- Independently troubleshoot and diagnose system issues and determine appropriate repair solutions.
- Perform HVAC and/or boiler service, maintenance, and repair tasks independently early in tenure.
- Complete service requests and prepare apartments for move in.
- Recommend repairs or replacements when needed.
- Maintain clean, professional work areas in residents’ homes.
- Document work and support seasonal maintenance needs.
- Perform scheduled and corrective preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment, including boilers, water heaters, air conditioning units, air exchangers, forced air furnaces, CO₂ detectors, and dryer exhaust systems.
- Support seasonal HVAC maintenance and inspections to reduce future issues and unplanned downtime.
- Assist with daily building inspections and identify preventive maintenance needs.
- Share HVAC knowledge and best practices with other maintenance team members to help strengthen overall technical capability.
- Document all repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance accurately, ensuring compliance with Goldmark standards.
Experience and Education
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with advanced HVAC troubleshooting ability.
- Must possess a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record and meet company insurability requirements.
- Comfortable working independently with support from site and specialty teams.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Basic computer and mobile device proficiency.
Preferred:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in maintenance and operations of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC).
- Active EPA Certification.
- Journeyman HVAC license.
- Minnesota low pressure boiler license.
- Familiarity with commercial boilers.
