Monday-Friday, day shift hours
The successful candidate will be responsible for directing, planning and implementing activities related to material movement in a fast-pace and growing environment . This includes the management of the receiving department, material handling throughout the facilities, inventory control, and the shipping department . The successful candidate will be required to work in a safe and professional manner at all times.
Plan and schedule material handling workload including the activities of receiving, material handling, inventory control, and shipping departments.
Resolve quantity discrepancies, record & regularly monitor items, and prepare reports.
Work requires the ability to enter data for quantities of parts issued and transferred between locations, inventory, and cycle count adjustments, into computer database. This position will be responsible for computer system transactions, and will audit source documents for completeness and accuracy before entering data.
Work requires the ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and standard operating procedures.
High school diploma, with above average computer skills
5 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment with MRP/ERP experience along with working knowledge of lean manufacturing.
Demonstrated success in optimizing logistical functions both internally and externally.
Analytical and process orientated, driving continual improvements in quality, safety, efficiency, productivity and profitability.
To be successful in this role, the candidate must be detail oriented and pay close attention to accuracy of all tasks, and possess computer proficiency to use applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, word processing, calendar, e-mail and database software in performing work assignments. There is a required ability to analyze information gathered in order to identify potential problems or discrepancies, and then write routine reports and correspondences.
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to have the ability to concentrate and perform responsibilities by maintaining a constant state of focus and mental alertness. The employee is regularly required to stand on concrete and uneven surfaces. Work requires regular use of hands (including gripping & grasping), reaching with arms, including reaching overhead and outward frequently, and the ability to climb over and into equipment. The employee is frequently required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk and hear. The employee will frequently walk and must frequently lift and move objects up to 50 lbs. Specific vision requirements: color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
