Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-time Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to join our dynamic team, at a charter school in the Bridgeland area of Cypress. This position is ideal for motivated professionals eager to contribute their skills in a flexible, supportive environment while gaining valuable experience across diverse populations.
Setting
- Charter school in Cypress, zip code 77433.
- Caseload will be supplemented with outpatient pediatric patients in our office location in zip code 77433 as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students, 1:1 and in group settings.
- Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Track daily session data.
- Assist with speech and hearing screenings.
- Maintain administrative records like progress reports and Medicaid billing as requested from supervisor.
- Other duties may apply depending on campus and supervisor, as long as it's within SLPA's scope of work.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or certificate in Communication Sciences and Disorders or similar for SLPA's is required.
- At least 6 months of experience doing pediatric speech therapy.
- School experience is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pediatrics and early intervention practices
- Experience with AAC programing and therapy is a plus.
- Working knowledge of physiology relevant to speech mechanisms.
