Join a state-of-the art, upscale medical and cosmetic dermatology practice in the heart of east Fort Lauderdale, looking to hire a Licensed Esthetician to become part of our team.
We are looking for someone professional, reliable, skilled and friendly to become an esthetician in our luxury spa located within the dermatology office. More information regarding details of the position, scheduling and payment structure/options available upon interview.
Responsibilities:
- Assist as a Cosmetic Receptionist by welcoming and engaging prospective clients at the front desk, educating them about our esthetic services, and converting inquiries into booked appointments. Support front desk operations between scheduled esthetic treatments
- Providing services to new and existing clients within the dermatology practice, including but not limited to facials, extractions, microdermabrasion and light therapy
- Existing knowledge of spa equipment, devices and tools required
- Assisting in promotional events to generate new clients
- Organizing, stocking and cleaning spa room & equipment routinely and between treatments
- Working with the practice to design and customize a spa treatment menu
- Greeting and caring for each client with a professional and pleasant attitude
- Working in a team effort to promote cosmetic procedures and products sold
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Esthetician License required
- Prior experience treating clients as a licensed esthetician required
- Prior experience performing high-end services including facials, extractions, microdermabrasion and dermaplaning required
- Knowledge of unique aesthetic devices such as LED lights, oxygen infusion and microcurrent is preferred, but not required
- Proficiency with HydraFacial a plus, but not required
- Willingness and ability to learn new devices and techniques as they are brought into the spa
- Pleasant personality, respect, and patience are required
- Dedicated, enthusiastic and organized work ethic
- Ability to maintain proper, courteous, and professional telephone and in person etiquette
- Attendance and punctuality required
- Cosmetology services such as eyebrow threading and massage are a plus
Physical Requirements
The role may require from time to time to lift light to moderate amounts of weight (e.g., boxes of medical/facility supplies), doing repetitive tasks with few breaks, and light cleaning.
