Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Set-up person to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up CNC lathe machines to produce precision parts according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, blueprint reading, and the ability to work with various measuring tools. The CNC Lathe set-up person will play a crucial role in ensuring product quality and efficiency in our factory setting.
Duties
- Set up and operate CNC lathe machines based on production requirements.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining specifications.
- Utilize measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers to ensure precision in fabricated parts.
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Lathe set-up person
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand logic controllers and machining processes.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with CAD software for part design is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing production needs.
