Duties
- Safely operate various passenger vehicles including vans, shuttle buses, and limousines to transport clients to scheduled medical appointments and community events.
- Ensure timely pickups and drop-offs while adhering to local driving routes and schedules.
- Maintain clear communication with clients, healthcare facilities, and dispatch teams to coordinate transportation needs efficiently.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.
- Follow all traffic laws, state transportation regulations, and safety protocols during every trip.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking the vehicle when necessary, providing excellent customer service with a friendly attitude.
- Handle heavy lifting when loading or unloading mobility aids or luggage while practicing manual handling safety standards.
Experience
- Prior experience as a delivery driver or chauffeur driving passenger vehicles such as vans, buses, or limousines is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to navigate using GPS systems confidently on local routes.
- Experience in medical transportation or working with clients requiring special assistance is a strong plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) or chauffeur license is advantageous.
- Knowledge of traffic regulations, safety standards, and vehicle maintenance practices.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with clients and healthcare providers.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and manual handling safely and efficiently.
