SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Desktop Support Technician for a on-site opportunity for candidates in Nashville, TN. Candidate will provide hands-on desktop and workstation support in a fast-paced enterprise environment by installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware and software. The candidate will deliver exceptional technical support to end users while ensuring systems are secure, compliant, and operating efficiently.
Required Qualifications of the Desktop Support Technician:
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or two (2) years of equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing desktop support or technical operations support.
- Strong technical support and troubleshooting skills for desktop hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining workstations and peripheral devices.
- Knowledge of operating system imaging and workstation deployment processes.
- Ability to support end users in a Windows-based LAN environment.
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience documenting technical issues, solutions, and support procedures.
- Ability to lift and transport IT equipment weighing up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 70 pounds occasionally.
Preferred Skills/Experience of the Desktop Support Technician:
- CompTIA A+ Certification.
- Experience using ServiceNow or another IT service management platform.
- Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments.
- Familiarity with IT asset inventory and equipment lifecycle management.
Responsibilities of the Desktop Support Technician:
- Provide technical support for desktop hardware, software, peripherals, and end-user computing devices.
- Monitor and resolve support requests through the organization's ticketing system while maintaining accurate documentation.
- Install, configure, image, and maintain workstations and approved software applications.
- Troubleshoot application, hardware, and operating system issues while ensuring compliance with security standards.
- Maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles, and asset inventory records.
- Collaborate with IT teams to resolve complex technical issues and improve support processes.
Work Location: Nashville, Tennessee 100% onsite.
