We are currently seeking professional and compassionate individuals to work as “Direct Support Profesional/life skills trainers” in our Day Program.
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Program Coordinator, Direct Support Professionals (DSP) at the Greater Opportunities’ Day Program help to design and deliver facility-based and community-based instruction and supervision to individuals and groups that is tailored to the needs, strengths, interests and preferences of consumers, in order to further their independence through the development of occupational and self-care skills, and enrich their lives through community integration and self-advocacy.
Assigned activities may include supporting adult development skills through activities such as using the computer and Internet; public transit, cooking and nutrition, growing vegetables; fulfilling needs for creative expression through activities such as music, dance, art, crafts, and photography; leading social recreational activities such as physical fitness, golf, swimming and bowling; and orienting consumers in how to access community resources such as the library, parks and recreation centers.

Compensation: $25.50/hour + medical, dental, vision, ltd, and life benefits
$28.00/hour during DP Transportation with certification
