Position Summary:
The Recovery Access Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and expanding strategic referral relationships for the organization’s Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (VIOP) throughout Texas. This position serves as the organization’s primary external relationship development representative responsible for educating healthcare systems, hospitals, criminal justice organizations, provider networks, and strategic referral partners regarding the organization’s continuum of care, accountability-driven VIOP services, rapid access pathways, and recovery stabilization model.
This is a high-performance, relationship-driven healthcare outreach and strategic development role focused on generating referral growth through aggressive prospecting, professional relationship cultivation, healthcare education, strategic networking, and disciplined business development activity.
- Develop and maintain referral relationships with hospitals, healthcare systems, discharge planners, provider groups, probation departments, drug courts, and strategic referral sources.
- Prospect and develop new referral relationships through consistent outreach and networking.
- Conduct high-volume outreach activities including meetings, presentations, conferences, networking events, and provider visits.
- Maintain a highly active field presence throughout Texas.
- Deliver professional presentations regarding VIOP services, accountability structures, treatment engagement, and continuity-of-care benefits.
- Educate referral sources regarding ASAM levels of care, relapse risk, treatment engagement, continuity-of-care strategies, dual diagnosis considerations, and virtual treatment accessibility.
- Communicate the organization’s treatment philosophy, accountability structure, and recovery support systems.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Provide reporting regarding strategic opportunities, market intelligence, and referral activity.
- Collaborate with leadership and marketing teams regarding outreach materials, presentations, referral packets, and educational resources.
- Conduct all outreach activities in compliance with HIPAA regulations, anti-kickback statutes, ethical marketing standards, and organizational policies.
- Avoid any activity that could be interpreted as patient brokering or unethical inducement.
- Maintain professionalism, credibility, and integrity in all external interactions.
- Strong relationship development and consultative sales abilities.

- Understanding of behavioral healthcare and substance use disorder treatment.
- Ability to build trust and credibility within healthcare systems and referral networks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Background in behavioral health, healthcare, health sciences, or substance use disorder treatment strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in healthcare outreach, provider relations, behavioral health business development, or medical sales preferred.
- Experience utilizing CRM systems required.
- Ability to travel statewide, including overnight travel.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Compensation Structure
- Salary plus performance-based incentive structure.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
