About Moving Station
Moving Station partners with senior living communities to guide residents through one of the most complex transitions of their lives: selling their long-time home and moving into a community. Through our Moving Made Easy program, partner communities offer their future residents a dedicated Personal Relocation Manager (PRM) who acts as a single point of accountability across downsizing, home sale preparation, listing strategy, and move logistics.
For our senior community clients, Moving Station is a strategic extension of the sales process — a service that removes the single biggest friction point keeping seniors from moving forward: the house.
The Role
This is a B2B account management role for a service product. After a community signs on as a partner, the Account Manager owns the relationship and is responsible for driving awareness, trust, and utilization at the community level.
Senior living communities are sophisticated buyers, and the sales team and senior leadership who refer prospective residents to our Personal Relocation Managers are the key influencers. Displaying Moving Station value and building these relationships is the key to the role.
What You'll Do
- Own a portfolio of community accounts, building real working relationships with sales counselors, executive directors, and regional leadership
- Drive consistent program utilization through education, training, on-site presence, and structured account planning
- Develop messaging, talking points, and supporting content that help community partners hit their own move-in goals
- Serve as the connective tissue between the community sales team and our PRMs, ensuring critical information about each future resident's home sale timeline flows in both directions
- Surface utilization trends and account insights to leadership; use CRM data to inform strategy and prioritize your portfolio
- Travel periodically to partner communities for in-person relationship building
Who You Are
You've worked in real estate, relocation, senior living, or another service-driven B2B environment where the product is delivered by people, the buying decision is emotional, and trust is the actual unlock. You know how to walk into a room of skeptical professionals — agents, counselors, executives — and earn credibility through preparation and follow-through.
You're also:
- A natural relationship builder who plays the long game with accounts
- Comfortable with the real estate transaction lifecycle and the emotional weight of a home sale
- Highly organized and accountable — the kind of person who closes loops and never lets a detail slip
- A clear, confident presenter, whether the audience is two sales counselors or a room of 30 families
- Persistent without being pushy; your influence comes from credibility, not pressure
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years in B2B account management, partner success, or client services for a service-based business — or equivalent experience in a real estate brokerage, relocation, or senior living operations role with a heavy external-stakeholder component
- Background or strong working knowledge in at least one of: residential real estate, B2B account management, relocation services, or senior living
- Strong presentation skills with experience delivering content to both professional audiences and consumers
- Track record of influencing front-line teams you don't directly manage
- High organizational standards and CRM proficiency (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
- Ability to work hybrid out of our downtown Chicago office, with periodic travel to partner communities
Preferred
- Direct experience in residential real estate
- Experience selling or supporting a service product into senior living, healthcare, or another regulated/professional-services-adjacent industry
- Familiarity with the home sale process from the seller's perspective — pricing strategy, listing prep, contingencies, closing timelines
