Key Responsibilities:
- Routine Inspections & Maintenance:
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machinery to reduce breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
- Inspect and test machinery and equipment to identify potential issues before they lead to failures.
- Lubricate, clean, and calibrate machines as required to maintain proper functioning.
- Troubleshooting & Repair:
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults in machinery.
- Repair or replace faulty parts, components, and systems.
- Work with electrical circuits, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to perform repairs.
- Machine Installation & Setup:
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery or systems.
- Set up and adjust machinery for specific production requirements, ensuring optimal performance.
- Record Keeping & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts replacements.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and keep records of inspections and repairs.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Follow all safety protocols and industry standards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Comply with environmental, health, and safety laws and regulations.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with operators and production staff to understand machine issues and prevent potential downtime.
- Provide training and guidance to machine operators on proper equipment handling and maintenance practices.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for improvements in machine performance, reliability, and energy efficiency.
- Work with management to implement solutions to optimize machine operations.
Required Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- Technical certification in Machine Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a machine maintenance technician or in a similar role (typically 2+ years).
- Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with PLCs, CNC machines, and industrial automation.
- Ability to work with power tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair tools.
- Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in maintenance.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Comfortable working in physically demanding environments.
- Ability to stand, kneel, or bend for extended periods of time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
