Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, managing waitlists and seating arrangements efficiently to minimize wait times
- Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu offerings
- Relay orders accurately from servers to kitchen staff using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Deliver food promptly from the kitchen to tables, ensuring presentation quality and proper food handling procedures
- Clear and reset tables efficiently, bussing dishes and maintaining cleanliness throughout service
- Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, supporting kitchen staff with basic culinary duties
- Maintain excellent communication with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service flow
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including serving and bussing duties
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper sanitation practices
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing
- Previous banquet or hospitality experience is a plus, demonstrating adaptability in various settings
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and warmly with guests
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Kitchen experience or culinary background is advantageous for supporting food prep and handling tasks
- Experience with hotel or hospitality operations enhances guest interaction skills
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure guest safety
