Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Medical Assistant Lead to join our busy dermatology practice with a focus on General Dermatology and Mohs micrographic surgery. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, and experienced in assisting with dermatologic and surgical procedures while providing excellent patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Room patients and obtain accurate medical histories
- Prepare patients for dermatologic exams and Mohs surgical procedures
- Assist providers during medical, cosmetic, and Mohs surgery procedures
- Set up and break down sterile surgical trays and procedure rooms
- Perform wound care, bandaging, suture removal, and post-op patient education
- Take clinical photographs and document procedures in the EHR
- Administer injections and medications as directed by the provider
- Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control protocols
- Stock exam rooms and ensure proper instrument sterilization
- Coordinate patient flow and communicate effectively with providers and staff
Required Qualifications:
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant
- Previous experience in dermatology required; Mohs experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of dermatologic terminology, procedures, and surgical instruments
- Strong understanding of sterile technique and surgical assisting
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume clinical setting
- Experience assisting with biopsies, excisions, and closures
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior Mohs surgery assisting experience
- Familiarity with EHR systems and clinical documentation
- Bilingual (a plus, not required)

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
