Summary:

Under the direction of the Center for Health Equity Advancement (CHEA) leadership team the Program Coordinator will support CHEA's efforts to advance health equity as a core principle in achieving the quadruple aim (consumer experience, provider experience, quality, and cost). The Program Coordinator will work closely with CHEA's core leadership team and various stakeholders to manage the development, implementation, and monitoring of projects and deliverables, including generating and submitting progress reports and managing timelines. The Program Coordinator will support the development and the implementation of system and infrastructure to identify and monitor key performance indicators and progress for screening, reporting, and addressing identified social health needs at the patient and community level. The Program Coordinator will also be responsible for stakeholder engagement, supporting CHEA's advisory board, working to establish point-of-care referral platforms within our electronic health system, and support collaboration with community-based organizations to address identified patient- and population-level social needs.
Responsibilities:

Work independently to manage and coordinate multiple concurrent projects at various stages of completion. Complete and manage project activities using an industry standard project management process and approach to ensure a consistent approach to project completion.

Define and determine the role of project management in each project, including specific roles and responsibilities of each project member.

Develop project plans, set deadlines, and communicate status to the project team and CHEA leadership. Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, prepare minutes, and manage CHEA shared drive. Prepare and deliver effective presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint to project teams and CHEA leadership.

Critically review project status and escalate delays and roadblocks to CHEA leadership in a timely manner to achieve deadlines. Provide periodic well-organized written status reports to CHEA leadership when required.

Participate in strategic planning efforts related to budget planning, project estimates, and resolution of other budgetary issues.

Integrate professional standards and evidence-based practice in development and evaluation of quality and evaluation initiatives.

Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures.

Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization.
Education or Equivalent Experience:
-
Bachelor's Degree is required.

3+ years progressively responsible positions in health care administration in a university/hospital setting or a similar fast-paced environment is required.

Experience with project management and utilization of project management methodologies and experience in managing cross-functional projects is required.

Master's Degree is preferred.

Previous experience in community engagement is preferred.
