Gage Control Technician to support our manufacturing quality systems through the calibration, maintenance, and control of inspection gages and measuring equipment.
1st Shift
Pay is based on experience
Responsibilities:
- Upgrade & maintain calibration system for gages.
- Gage calibration with periodical layouts.
- Gage maintenance and minor repairs.
- Daily gage release.
- New gage layouts, correlations, GR & R studies, and releases.
- Documentation on all gage activities (i.e., layout, repairs, correlations, etc.)
- Implement computer control for calibrations.
- Order department supplies
- Complete outside vendor calibrations, sometime entails collecting or dropping off gages at vendors
- Perform other assignments as directed by supervisor
Qualifications:
- High School graduate or GED required.
- Must be familiar with standard quality assurance instruments and gages.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must have good math background, algebra is a must.
- Should be mechanically inclined.
- Ability to work overtime as needed to support manufacturing needs.
- Must understand layout techniques, operations, and instruments.
- Able to understand and read blueprints.
- Must have knowledge of data base software.
- Ability to lift 35 lbs. at a maximum and the ability to push or pull object weighing up to 90 lbs.
