Duties
- Perform various massage techniques including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and relaxation massage to address client concerns.
- Conduct patient assessments to understand individual health conditions, preferences, and treatment goals.
- Apply knowledge of physiology and anatomy to customize treatments safely and effectively.
- Educate clients on post-massage care, pain management strategies, and occupational health practices.
- Maintain detailed records of treatments provided, client progress, and any relevant medical information.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment by adhering to hygiene standards and safety protocols such as CPR certification requirements.
- Collaborate with other health professionals when necessary to support comprehensive patient care.
Skills
- Proven experience in massage therapy with a focus on patient service excellence.
- Expertise in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other advanced massage techniques.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to therapeutic massage.
- Ability to assess patient needs accurately and tailor treatments accordingly.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Familiarity with occupational health practices and pain management strategies.
- Prior med spa experience is highly desirable for understanding aesthetic treatment environments.
