Responsibilities
- Design beautiful, fresh floral arrangements for various occasions, ensuring each piece meets high aesthetic standards and customer specifications
- Assist customers in selecting flowers and plants, offering expert advice on floral care, gardening, and landscape maintenance
- Maintain the floral display area by stocking fresh flowers, arranging merchandise attractively, and managing inventory levels using retail math principles
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately for cash handling and retail sales transactions
- Provide excellent customer service through clear communication, active listening, and personalized recommendations
- Keep the workspace organized and clean, ensuring all tools and supplies are properly stored and sanitized
- Support merchandising efforts by creating eye-catching displays that highlight seasonal themes and promote floral products
Qualifications
- Proven experience or strong interest in floral design, horticulture, gardening, or landscape maintenance
- Proven experience in funeral and sympathy arrangements
- Knowledge of floral design techniques, plant care, and landscape aesthetics
- Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math concepts
- Strong organizational skills to manage stock levels, merchandising displays, and inventory records
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a passion for helping others create beautiful spaces and arrangements
