JOB HIGHLIGHTS:
Full-Time driver position. Shift Days : Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday (30-40 hours a week) with some depending on Order/delivery levels. Stable hours with overtime opportunity; need to be flexible & able to do overtime. Main task is to deliver orders to local businesses on company vehicles, lot of time on the road, great if you like to be out in the field.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver orders to local businesses
- Load & unload orders
- Assist picking items
- Check items against order for accuracy
- Deliver items and have recipients sign invoice, collect payment if applicable.
- Assist with warehouse duties when not making deliveries
REQUIREMENTS:
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (We are a E-Verify company)
- LANGUAGE SKILLS - Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization.
- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- REASONING ABILITY- Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Must possess analytical skills and ability to think quickly. Proficient using GPS and other routing systems, have an innate sense of direction, be disciplined, dependable, and resourceful.
- OTHER SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS - Computer literate, PC; Willingness to engage with the customer and share information with Sales and Dispatch; forklift experience a plus, must be able to have a flexible work schedule in order to meet customer pickup and delivery schedules. Have great customer service, teamwork and organizational attitude. Able to operate an electric lift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required Ability to sit for extended periods. Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 70lbs weight). Good vision and hearing capabilities both during day and nighttime. Employees would be expected to also use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
- Class C driver license
- Clean driving record (You will be asked to provide a valid Driver License and DMV Driver Record (DMV K4) at the time of interview)
- Able to operate vehicles from cargo vans to box trucks (class C)
- Minimum 1 Year experience in making deliveries
- Able to lift 50 lbs without assist
- Good attention to detail (identify the right items being picked/delivered)
- Ability to be flexible in order to meet customer needs when routes need to be adjusted or changed.
- Ability to strategically plan for customer needs by discussing their pickup and delivery needs, so the customer's current and future needs are satisfied and served with excellence.
- Perform all work duties in a safe manner in accordance with Daylight and DOT safety standards to ensure no accidents or injuries.
- Perform basic service truck driving functions in accordance with Daylight compliance and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.
- Be available for work at all times in order to meet customer pickup and delivery schedules.
