Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dental Assistant to join our team. Prefer 2 years dental experience. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures and help provide quality patient care in a professional and compassionate manner. Our office has enjoyed satisfied long-term employees. We are a modern, high-tech office using iTero scanner, paperless patient records, digital x-rays/cbct.
Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures
- Take digital dental x-rays
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following dental procedures
- Take patient health history and enter patient treatment in software
- Order supplies
- Light janitorial
- Light front office duties
Requirements
- Knowledge of dental assisting procedures and terminology
- Radiology Certificate
- Familiarity with computerized dental practice management software
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Previous experience in orthodontics is a plus
- Certification in Dental Assisting is preferred
- Spanish speaking is a plus but not required
