Engineer (Hotel Maintenance Technician)
Status: Full-Time
Schedule: Rotating shifts including some weekends/holidays
Overview
The Engineer ensures the property’s mechanical systems, equipment, and overall physical condition remain fully operational. This hands-on role supports daily maintenance, emergency repairs, and guest satisfaction by keeping the hotel safe, functional, and well-maintained.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
Respond to guestroom maintenance issues quickly and professionally
Perform daily property walk-throughs and document facility conditions
Assist with preventive maintenance program execution
Log all work in hotels tacking system
Communicate with Front Desk on a regular basis regarding room status, work orders, etc.
Support pool/spa operations (if applicable) including water chemistry testing
Maintain communication with leadership regarding major repairs or outages
Monitor fire life safety systems and ensure compliance with safety protocols
Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance inventory
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of hotel, commercial, or residential maintenance experience
Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
Strong troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and remain calm in urgent situations
Comfortable using tech-based work order systems (GXP, HotSOS, etc.)
