This position will be subject to non-renewal following the 2026-2027 school year based on District needs and the unavailability or uncertainty of Title funding.
This position will be .5 FTE Academic Interventionist and .5 SEL Interventionist, both at Jefferson Elementary.
Purpose: The purpose of this position is to support students in achieving proficiency in challenging state academic standards by providing supplemental instructional and intervention services that enhance the existing educational program. This position also supports students' social-emotional growth through classroom-based instruction focused on self-awareness, self-management, relationship skills, problem-solving, and responsible decision-making. The position works collaboratively with staff, students, and families to promote academic achievement, positive behavior, and overall student success.
Responsibilities
Intervention and Progress Monitoring: promotes alignment of existing student interventions provided by multiple
staff (e.g., Title I, ML, Reading Corps, Tutors, Special Education, Classroom Teacher) to ensure consistent
expectations and progress monitoring.
Priority: Essential Percent of Time: 50%
Examples of this work include:

Supports and provides interventions for students.

Works with grade level teams and Instructional Coach to use common assessment data to monitor progress for students receiving interventions.

Analyzes, progress monitors, and interprets grade-level data trends to design, implement, and to determine the impact of interventions.

Willing to provide parent outreach to assist parents with strategies they can use to support their child.
Social Emotional Support: Provide
Priority: Essential Percent of Time: 45%
Examples of this work include:

Provides social-emotional learning (SEL) lessons and supports students across multiple grade levels.

Collaborates closely with the school counselor to design and implement effective SEL instruction and interventions.

Assists in identifying student social-emotional needs and supports the implementation of strategies to promote student success.

Supports school-wide positive behavior, attendance, and engagement initiatives.
General Support: other duties as assigned.
Priority: Secondary Percent of Time: 5%
Examples of this work include:

Contributes to the implementation of special projects when assigned.

Provides general student supervision as needed. This includes but is not limited to locations indoors and outdoors, such as the lunchroom, bus stops, playground, classroom, field trips, public transportation, assemblies, and lunchroom.

Participates in general staff meetings.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in elementary education.
- Valid North Dakota Teaching License.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of schools, teachers, and classrooms.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic proficiency with instructional technology.
Preferred Qualifications:-
Two to three years teaching Experience

Ability to interpret and analyze data.

Experience with behavior management strategies.

Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a variety of audiences and individuals.

Intermediate proficiency with instructional technology.

Experience in using assessment results to guide instruction.

Knowledge of research and best practices in instructional design and differentiating instruction.
