Position Summary
The Front Office & Visitor Service individual serves as the first point of contact for all visitors, members, students, artists, and community partners. This position is responsible for creating a welcoming, professional atmosphere while providing excellent customer service, supporting daily administrative operations, assisting with programs and events, and helping ensure the smooth operations of the art center.
Essential ResponsibilitiesVisitor & Customer Service
- Welcome all guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries.
- Provide information about exhibitions, classes, memberships, events, and facility rentals.
- Process class registrations, memberships, and donations.
- Assist visitors with gallery and program information.
Administrative Support
- Maintain an organized and efficient front desk area.
- Receive and distribute mail and deliveries.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records.
- Prepare routine correspondence, reports, and filing.
- Assist staff with administrative projects as assigned.
Gallery & Program Support
- Help monitor gallery spaces and ensure visitors have a positive experience.
- Support artist check-in, class preparation, and event setup as needed.
- Maintain program materials and informational displays.
Retail & Sales
- Process retail and gift shop purchases using the point-of-sale system.
- Assist with inventory tracking.
Facility Support
- Help maintain a clean, welcoming front lobby and public spaces.
- Monitor office and visitor supply inventory.
- Report maintenance or facility concerns promptly.
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
