Director Position – Happy Days Preschool (Toms River, NJ)

Happy Days Preschool, part of Inspired Education, is seeking a strong, experienced Director to lead our newly opening Toms River location this summer. This is a unique opportunity to build, grow, and shape a program from the ground up.
We are looking for a leader who is not only highly organized and detail-oriented but also proactive, adaptable, and calm under pressure. As this is a new building and a new program launch, there will be moments that require flexibility, problem-solving, and the ability to go with the flow during high-stress situations. The right candidate will embrace these challenges and turn them into opportunities for growth.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Preschool Director (required)
Demonstrated success in growing enrollment and strengthening program performance
Strong experience with marketing, community outreach, and program promotion
Highly proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and problem-solve independently
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Working knowledge of budgeting and financial oversight
Experience with ProCare (or similar childcare management systems)
Basic ABA knowledge/experience required (aligned with our sister company services)
Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
Understanding and following all NJ licensing regulations for childcare centers
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations and help launch a brand-new center, ensuring compliance with all licensing requirements and our company's policies and procedures
Lead, mentor, and develop staff to build a strong, positive team culture from day one
Drive enrollment through marketing initiatives, tours, and community engagement
Manage budgets, staffing, and resources effectively
Maintain strong relationships with families and ensure an exceptional experience
Navigate the realities of a new building and opening phase with flexibility and confidence
Collaborate with leadership across Inspired Education and our ABA division
