American Traveler is hiring a CT/X-ray Technologist for a 13-week day shift assignment, requiring current ARRT certification in both CT and Radiography.

Diagnostic Imaging department performing both CT and X-ray procedures
-
Day shift schedule
-
13-week assignment with 36 guaranteed hours
-
May assist with or rotate to other imaging modalities within scope of licensure/registry
-
May be required to take call, work holidays, and/or weekends
-
Uses PACS and RIS/HIS electronic systems
-
Current, active state license required if applicable
-
ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT) required
-
Current BLS certification required
-
Registered in at least two imaging modalities
-
2+ years of experience as a practicing Technologist preferred
-
Effective communication skills and general knowledge of Microsoft Office products
-
Ability to learn and work with electronic records including PACS and RIS/HIS
-
Perform quality and efficient radiologic procedures for diagnostic interpretation
-
Practice radiation safety and adhere to ALARA standards
-
Provide patient education, verify patient identification through two means, and obtain informed consent when required
-
Perform QC in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations and operate equipment per manufacturer guidelines

Notify Radiologist of STAT or emergent cases and provide ordering physician contact information

Assist with clerical duties, patient transportation, and equipment troubleshooting
-
May assist, train, or cross-train other imaging staff members
-
Flexible scheduling required to help cover emergencies, illnesses, and vacations

Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with infection control and safety policies

Adherence to facility dress code policy required
