Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. As an LPN, you will play a crucial role in supporting patients' health and well-being through direct care, assessment, and collaboration with healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
- Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Provide personal care to patients, including hygiene assistance and mobility support.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients and families on health management and wellness strategies.
- Perform procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, and specimen collection.
- Support patients with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s care, and memory care needs.
- Participate in discharge planning and case management activities.
Skills
The following skills are essential for success in this role:
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks.
- Experience in critical care, acute care, or emergency medicine settings.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10).
- Familiarity with pain management techniques and acute pain management protocols.
- Strong patient assessment skills with the ability to recognize changes in condition.
- Experience working with geriatric populations and providing senior care.
- Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) and advanced procedures like suturing or airway management.
- Competence in phlebotomy, venipuncture, tube feeding, and administering injections.
- Understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques.

Pay: $32.00 - $39.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36.0 – 40.0 per week
