Job Title Maintenance Technician
Job Location: Mankato, MN
**Compensation: $26/hour **plus a $3/hour shift differential.
**Sign-on Bonus: $5,000, paid in two instillments: 6months and 12months **
**Schedule: 6:00 PM–6:00 AM. (Monday – Friday) **
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial equipment and facility systems in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for minimizing downtime, supporting production operations, and ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Diagnose equipment issues using schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
Repair or replace motors, pumps, conveyors, sensors, gearboxes, and other equipment components.
Respond to equipment breakdowns and production-related maintenance calls.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and relocations.
Operate industrial equipment such as **scissor lifts **and material handling equipment.
Follow OSHA regulations, Lockout/Tagout procedures, and company safety standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments.
Participate in **continuous improvement initiatives. **
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in a **manufacturing or industrial setting. **
Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related field preferred.
Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
Experience with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Basic computer skills and experience with CMMS systems.
PLC troubleshooting and industrial automation experience preferred.
Welding and light fabrication experience is a plus.
Strong communication skills and commitment to workplace safety.
Preferred Skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crawl, and work in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and respirators when needed.
