Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AWS Certified Welder to join our dynamic fabrication team for a short-term project. This position is a fulltime parttime on at a Walmart store. Work hours are from 11:00 pm to 6:00 am. The successful canditate will be working on a scissorlift or similar, and 2 helpers will be avaialable to cut material and act as a fire watch.
Responsibilities
- Perform FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), in accordance with AWS standards and project specifications.
- Understand mechanical blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and schematics to accurately execute fabrication tasks.
- Use hand tools,
- Measure materials precisely with a tape measure to ensure accurate cuts and welds.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols related to welding, rigging, machining, and material handling.
- Collaborate with team members on large-scale projects involving metal fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
- Ensure all work complies with AWS certification requirements for quality assurance.
- Valid AWS certification in welding with proven expertise in FCAW welding process.
- Construction site experience demonstrating ability to operate within dynamic environments safely.
- Strong knowledge of structural welding techniques.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and other fabrication equipment.
- Mechanical knowledge including rigging procedures, shop math skills, machining basics, soldering techniques, and schematic interpretation.
- Ability to work effectively on construction sites while maintaining high safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with a proactive attitude toward problem-solving and teamwork.

Pay: $35.00 - $37.00 per hour
