Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Driver Manager, where you will be serving as the primary point of contact and operational leader for our fleet of commercial drivers. This role is responsible for maximizing driver productivity, ensuring strict DOT safety compliance, and championing driver retention through effective, empathetic communication. Operating directly out of our Dallas location, you will coordinate seamlessly with dispatch, planning, and safety teams to keep our fleet moving efficiently while supporting our drivers on every mile of their journey.
It will be a 100% onsite location based out in our Dallas Office.
Duties
- Serve as the primary, daily point of contact for an assigned fleet of drivers, managing their schedules, dispatch availability, and transit progress.
- Coordinate with asset planners to assign loads efficiently, ensuring maximum equipment utilization and meeting customer pickup and delivery windows.
- Utilize dual-language skills to deliver clear operational instructions, conduct safety briefings, and build rapport with both English- and Spanish-speaking drivers.
- Track driver Hours of Service (HOS) and electronic logs (ELD) in real-time to guarantee strict adherence to FMCSA and Department of Transportation regulations.
- Address driver concerns regarding scheduling, payroll, and home time proactively to foster a supportive work environment and reduce fleet turnover.
- Manage dynamic transit disruptions, including equipment breakdowns, weather delays, or route adjustments, by coordinating immediately with maintenance and safety teams.
- Monitor and evaluate driver key performance indicators (KPIs), focusing on safety records, fuel efficiency, and on-time delivery percentages.
Qualifications
- Fluent in both English and Spanish, with the ability to handle professional, fast-paced communication, technical logistics terms, and conflict resolution in both languages (Required)
- 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in trucking operations, fleet dispatch, or driver management within a commercial transportation environment.
- Solid understanding of DOT regulations, FMCSA compliance safety standards, and commercial driver Hours of Service rules.
- Proficiency using modern Transportation Management Systems (TMS) alongside commercial fleet tracking and Electronic Logging Device (ELD) software.
- Strong situational decision-making skills with a proven track record of managing logistical variables and driver relations in a high-volume on-site terminal.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
