Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate drink and food orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring quick and correct delivery
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Serve beverages responsibly, adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards
- Manage cash handling and cashiering duties accurately, including processing payments via POS systems like OpenTable or other platforms
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in the bar area to uphold sanitation standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure seamless service during busy hours
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, including fine dining options, cocktails, wine lists, and specialty drinks
- Support guest relations by addressing inquiries promptly and ensuring a positive dining experience
- Follow all food handling protocols and safety procedures to ensure guest safety at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or nightclub settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables and tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Previous experience in serving, bartending, or host/hostess roles is highly desirable
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and billing purposes
- Culinary or kitchen experience is a bonus for understanding food preparation processes
- Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in a fast-paced hospitality environment
