Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Landscape Laborer and play a vital role in creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. You will work outdoors in all weather conditions, utilizing your skills to support landscape projects from planting to hardscape installation. Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, and edging to keep outdoor areas pristine and healthy.
- Operate groundskeeping equipment such as lawn mowers, power tools, irrigation systems, and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Support planting activities by identifying plants, preparing soil, and installing new greenery with precision.
- Perform landscape repairs and hardscape installations like pathways or retaining walls under supervision.
- Manage irrigation systems for proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal plant health.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow plowing or tree trimming to maintain safety and accessibility year-round.
Requirements
- Prior outdoor work experience or familiarity with grounds maintenance is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is essential.
- Basic mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment and hand tools is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of plant identification, horticulture practices, and pesticide management is a plus.
- Ability to operate lawn care machinery, power tools, irrigation systems, and other groundskeeping equipment safely.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to outdoor work environments.
- Excellent physical stamina for lifting, bending, digging, and working in various weather conditions.
- Effective communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are important for collaborating on landscape projects.
