About Lion Craft
We manufacture custom commercial millwork, furniture, and cabinetry for high-end bars, nightclubs, and restaurants. We are looking for a reliable, motivated Mill Shop Helper to join our team. If you have basic woodshop experience and want to learn a high-paying trade from the ground up, this is your foot in the door. We want an entry-level professional with a solid work ethic who knows their way around basic shop tools. If you are sharp, dependable, and eager to learn, we will completely train you on how to run our custom millwork machinery, including our CNC router. It’s not rocket science, but it does require focus, patience, and precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Shop Support: Assist senior woodworkers by staging materials, lifting/moving lumber, and keeping the shop floor and machinery clean and safe.
- Material Prep: Sand, wipe down, and prep wood components for fabrication or finishing.
- Machine Operation (We Train You): Learn to safely operate shop machinery, load materials onto the CNC router, run pre-set programs, and unload finished parts.
- Quality Checks: Verify that parts coming off the machines match the required dimensions and are free of defects.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 6+ months of basic experience in a woodshop, construction site, or cabinetry environment (knows basic shop safety).
- Tool Skills: Comfortable using basic hand tools, drills, and orbital sanders.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for 8+ hours a day and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Reliability: A zero-excuses attitude toward showing up on time every day, ready to work.
- Logistics: Reliable transportation to our shop. Must be able to pass a drug test.
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
