Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles with traffic laws and transportation safety regulations
- Conduct vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify mechanical issues; perform basic mechanical knowledge checks as needed
- Communicate effectively with owner; respond promptly to traffic changes or route adjustments
- Maintain accurate records of trips, incident reports, and vehicle logs in compliance with state and local laws
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for dump truck operation
- Proven experience driving dump trucks or similar large vehicles; experience working with pits
- Knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle codes, transportation safety regulations, and emergency response procedures for transportation
- Strong communication skills in English
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting is advantageous
