We’re seeking an experienced Mechanical Assembler to build, assemble, rebuild, and service capital equipment used in manufacturing and industrial environments. This position is best suited for someone with hands-on experience constructing or rebuilding complex machinery, engines, or industrial equipment. Automotive repair and industrial maintenance backgrounds can be a strong fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, construct, rebuild, and install mechanical components and equipment
- Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, drawings, and assembly instructions
- Use hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment to complete assemblies
- Build and assemble complex machinery and capital equipment
- Disassemble, inspect, repair, and rebuild mechanical equipment as needed
- Install and connect mechanical components, systems, and assemblies
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify problems during assembly
- Work with hydraulic and pneumatic components and systems
- Measure and verify components to ensure proper fit, alignment, and function
- Perform quality checks throughout the assembly process
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Follow safety procedures and production requirements
- Perform additional mechanical assembly duties as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on mechanical assembly experience
- Experience building, constructing, or rebuilding machines, engines, or industrial equipment
- Ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints required
- Experience with capital equipment or complex machinery required
- Automotive repair experience is highly relevant
- Industrial maintenance experience is highly relevant
- Assembly line experience alone does not meet the requirements
- Hydraulics experience is a plus
- Pneumatics experience is a plus
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
- Must be able to communicate effectively and understand English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
