Nebraska Animal Medical Center is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to help move our practice forward! NAMC offers the opportunities for personal and professional growth. The Veterinary Assistant position includes helping Veterinarians with appointments, filling medications, drop offs appointments, work-in appointments, running lab samples, vaccinating pets, and patient care all around.
We are seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about animals and have experience in a veterinary clinic.
Duties:
- Assist veterinarians with exams, filling medications, and medical documentation.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
- Perform routine laboratory tests and procedures
- Clean and maintain equipment, exam rooms, and treatment areas
- Provide compassionate care to patients and their owners
Nebraska Animal Medical Center is currently an 7 doctor practice, focusing on internal medicine, surgery, and preventative care. We offer clients advanced technology along with personalized care and education.
Our facility includes: Six separate wards* Urgent Care Services* Surgical and Therapy Laser Rehabilitation suite including an underwater treadmill* New ultrasound with telemedicine capabilities and the ability to do cardiac screens* Upgraded digital X-ray and digital dental X-ray with telemedicine capabilities* Six exam rooms and a comfort room* Dental suite with full monitoring and warming capabilities* Surgery suite with full monitoring, and warming capabilities* Laparoscopic surgery, surgical laser, Vetscope, and Endoscopy* Large boarding and daycare facility with turf play yard* Groomers* and Radio Iodine 131 Treatment for cats*
Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting preferred
- Experience in veterinary clinic is preferred.
